Peers United is a lived-experience-led organisation creating inclusive, mental health and neurodiverse-affirming support products.
Our co-founders draw on their own lived experiences to design resources that genuinely understand and respond to everyday challenges. These are products they use and benefit from today — and tools they wish had existed while growing up and navigating mental health and neurodivergent experiences. Every resource is created with care, empathy, and a belief that support should feel accessible, empowering and human.
Our co-founder Lucy is a qualified and registered Mental Health Social Worker. She provides professional oversight across our product range, helping to ensure our resources are informed by current research, good practice and ethical standards. This oversight supports the quality and relevance of our products; however, they are not intended to replace clinical, therapeutic, or medical advice and should be used as supportive tools alongside other forms of support where needed.

Yes. Peers United is a UK-based small business, we are location in Southampton (England)
Our products are a mixture of handmade, self-produced, and curated items.
Here’s what that means:
Handmade
Our handmade products are designed, made, and assembled by us, at home. Because these items are created by hand, they may have small, natural variations — this is part of what makes them unique. This also allows us to customise these items for our users.
Our handmade products currently include:
Self-Produced
Our self-produced products are designed, written and developed by us, then professionally printed or manufactured to our specifications.
Our self-produced products currently include:
Having these products professionally produced allows us to make our resources more accessible, durable, and affordable, while maintaining full control over content, quality, and values.
Curated
Curated products are carefully selected from other creators or suppliers. These items are chosen because we believe they complement our own range and help increase access to supportive tools for our community.
Our curated products currently include:
We only curate products that we genuinely believe add value to and complement our own resources.
Our products are supportive and educational but are not a replacement for clinical, medical, or therapeutic services. They are designed to help you develop coping skills and ways to manage some of the difficulties mental health and neurodiversity present in day to day life and can be used alone or alongside professional support.
Our products are for neurodivergent people, individuals experiencing mental health challenges, children and young people, families, carers and for professionals seeking out resources. We have resources for both adults and children and in the future will be adding a dedicated range to teenagers too as well as a dedicated men’s section.
No diagnosis is required to use our resources. If you feel a product would benefit you, then it’s for you! We understand how difficult it can be in the UK to access diagnoses and timely support — it’s tough, and that’s exactly why we aim to help bridge that gap. Whether you have a formal diagnosis, are self-identifying, or simply feel that a particular product would be helpful, then our resources are designed for you too!
Yes. Our products are designed using neurodiverse-affirming principles and aim to be flexible, accessible and adaptable to individual needs and preferences. A lot of our items can also be customised, so if you have any questions or feel a certain product could meet your personal needs better with an adaptation just let us know! Most of our products are made by us in house, meaning we can be responsive to customer needs.
Many of our products are designed specifically for children and young people, including our emotional literacy comics, activity books, sensory kits, and card games.
Some items may contain small parts, which could present a choking risk for younger children or for individuals who seek sensory input orally. In addition, some resources may reference sensitive topics such as self-harm or suicidality.
Please always check individual product descriptions for age guidance, content warnings, and safety information to ensure each item is appropriate for the person using it.
No. You do not need a formal diagnosis. Our resources support self-identification and lived experience and are suitable for anyone who finds them helpful. We understand not everyone wants or would benefit from getting a formal diagnosis and we also recognise for those that do, how difficult it can be in the UK to access diagnoses and timely support — and that’s exactly why we aim to help bridge that gap.

Will you ship to Ireland and Northern Ireland in the future?
We hope to review this in the future if regulations or our capacity change. Updates will be shared on our website when available.
